Hydraulic Dynamometer

A load absorption unit for torque & power of the UUT(Unit Under Test).
The hydraulic Dyno is able to measure the torque and speed of the UUT.

Operating Principle
  • The water is accelerated by the Impeller outwards
    and the friction heats up the water.
  • After this the water is slowed down in the inserts
    and led back inwards.
  • From the inserts the water re-enters the impeller
    and is accelerated again.
The Hydraulic Dynamometer System
  • Fluid flow: Our hydraulic dynamometers utilize a specific flow of water. Minimum quality is seawater.
  • Föttinger effect: The fluid passes through our dynamometers based on the ‘Föttinger’ principle.
  • Power absorption: ZES dynamometers act as passive elements, providing a load on the source.
  • Precise measurement: ZES dynamometers accurately measure power, speed and torque.
Advanced Digital Controller Seamless Dynamometer Management

Our digital controller is an integrated and proven solution for seamlessly operating, controlling, and monitoring both the dynamometers and optional objects. Its user-friendly interface simplifies the management of various input/output (I/O) signals, and standard interfaces facilitate communication with automation systems.
Multiple operation modes: The controller offers a range of automatic and manual operating modes for speed, torque, and power control. 
Custom presets: By configuring presets within the controller, you can precisely manage both the engine and the dynamometer, each with its own set of presets and monitored values. 
Throttle control: Acting as the vital interface between the controller and the engine, our throttle control ensures seamless communication and precise control.
